A scrum master runs the show he is a very important part of the agile development life cycle, Scrum master is Responsible for managing communication between the team to keep the project on track.
Scrum is a software development methodology in which adaptability and self-organization are the key, The term scrum comes from Ragbe, where team players gather together to analyze the situation of the game and see what should they do moving forward to win the game.
Like Rugby players, the team gathers together to see the progress of the project led by the scrum master is called scrum meeting or called daily standup which may last to 2 minutes to 10 minutes depending on the team size.
Scrum master asks 3 questions to each team player in this meeting every day.

1- what did you do yesterday.
2- What are you going to do today.
3- Are there any hurdles or issues facing while completing the task.
Although the title of scrum master sounds powerful, this position is not the project leader or project manager and is not held accountable for project outcomes, this responsibility is given to the team as a whole.

However, that also does not mean that the job is easy. The scrum master is responsible for the following items as well.
- Helping the team to reach consensus for what can be achieved during a specific period of time.
- Helping the team to reach consensus during the daily scrum.
- Helping the team stay focused and follow the agreed-upon rules for daily scrums.
- Removing obstacles that are impeding the team's progress.
- Protecting the team from outside distractions.
